英国の名門シューメイカー、Gaziano&Girling にユニオンワークスが木型からパターンに至るまで一から製作を依頼した、完全別注モデル「Old Oxford」。
クラシックなキャップトゥの美意識を、優れた職人技と現代の精度で再構築した一足です。
ハーフムーンや均等に並ぶ5アイレットなど、往年の英国靴を彷彿とさせる意匠を随所に採用。現代的な装飾や過度な主張をあえて排し、控えめながらも存在感のある佇まいに。
そこにGaziano & Girling ならではの端正なバランス感覚が加わり、クラシックでありながら、どこかエレガントな雰囲気を漂わせます。
ラストには、ユニオンワークスが特別に依頼した専用木型「 UW94」 を使用。自然なラウンドトウと、土踏まずから踵にかけてのフィット感が特徴で、伝統的な英国靴の雰囲気を保ちながらも、履き心地に配慮した設計となっています。
シューツリーは、Gaziano & Girling 純正のものがフィットするよう設計。

This fully bespoke model, the “Old Oxford,” is the result of a special collaboration between Gaziano & Girling, one of England’s most prestigious shoemakers, and Union Works. From the last to the pattern, every element was designed and developed from scratch at our request.
Reimagining the aesthetic of a traditional cap-toe Oxford, this pair brings together classic design with the precision and craftsmanship of modern shoemaking.
Design details such as the half-moon stitching and evenly spaced five eyelets evoke the charm of vintage English shoes. By intentionally avoiding modern embellishments and excessive flair, the result is a quietly dignified silhouette with unmistakable presence.
With Gaziano & Girling’s renowned sense of balance and proportion, the shoe exudes a timeless elegance while remaining true to its classic roots.
The last used is the specially commissioned “UW94,” designed exclusively for Union Works. It features a naturally rounded toe and a snug fit around the arch and heel, delivering a traditional English look with enhanced comfort.
The shoe is designed to be compatible with Gaziano & Girling's official shoe trees.
A refined Oxford shoe suitable for those seeking a timeless pair that transcends trends.
